You know we love Florida and more importantly one town in particular, Niceville. So meet 22-year old Zachariah Dalton Howard of 108 Oak Shores Drive in Niceville who tried to rob a convenience store in Niceville December 22nd then walked to a nearby store and called his Mom for a ride home.
They say Howard went into the Thumbs-Up Convenience Store at 4200 Range Road around 10 p.m. December 22nd dressed in a long black coat, hoodie and blue jeans. He told the clerk he had a firearm but never showed a
weapon. He left without getting any money after the clerk showed him an empty cash register drawer. Howard says he when we went to the store he didn’t originally intend to try to rob it, but came up with the idea while walking there. He added that after he left he went to the Winn Dixie and called his mother for a ride
home. He said he never had any weapons.
He was charged with one count of robbery according to the
Okaloosa County Sheriff.
Oddly enough he has his employment listed as the Niceville paint and body shop so you would think he would have a ride....
