91 year old man crashes into garage
Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies received a call at 1:41 p.m. Wednesday after a car driven by a 91 year old man crashed through and into a home in Port Charlotte. The call was received to 206 McDill Drive. Charlotte County Fire/EMS responded, along with the County Building Spector to see if there was structural damage inside the house.
No one was inside the home and the driver, Orra C. Tiffany, 8562 Bumford Avenue, North Port, was not injured. The man said he blacked out, drove through the garage door and into the house coming to rest in the laundry room. Deputies said the vehicle was not towed out of the garage as that part of the house was deemed unsafe by the Charlotte County Building Inspector. Attached are photos of the damages to the unoccupied home taken by CCSO Deputy First Class Brad Stender and a stree view that we took.
