Levy Sharon, assigned to Bensonhurst's 62nd Precinct, even married the lady of the house so she could get a green card, officials said. "Perhaps most troubling, Sharon uses his NYPD uniform for purposes of profit and intimidation," Assistant U.S. Attorney Cristina Posa said in court papers that contained a shocking list of accusations. An unpaid auxiliary cop for six years, Sharon collected $400 a month in protection money from accused madam Ozada Djalilova, prosecutors say. He regularly visited the Ocean Ave. den of ill repute in his auxiliary police uniform to check the prostitutes' immigration documents. The feds say it was a thinly veiled threat they would be deported if they got out of line. |
