The town of Windmere is back in the news and it does not involve Tiger Woods this time. In all honesty, what appears to be a very corrupt police department needs an enema as several current and former officers have a history of legal troubles ranging from drug abuse, domestic violence and assault according to court and police records. No, you’re not misreading.

Windermere Town Manager Cecilia Bernier relieved Police Chief Daniel Saylor of his duties without pay. It seems Saylor terminated an investigation by his department into the sexual battery of a child to keep a friend from going to jail, according to FDLE officials. The friend, 50-year-old Scott Bush, also of Windermere, was arrested Wednesday for capital sexual battery of a person under 12 and sexual touching of a person under 12 years of age. Those charges carry a possible sentence of life in prison if he is convicted, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

The most disturbing part to me was the statement to Orange County Judge Kenneth Barlow from his attorney Mark NeJame:

While I believe in “innocent until proven guilty” something about this makes me uncomfortable. Shouldn’t this child be protected as well just IN CASE he did do this? Anyone who would protect a child molester should not have children around them.

Your mother? Really? Your 50 years old dude. What a sad and pathetic man you are. I would suggest you stop relying on your mommy and start worrying about “who your daddy” is going to be soon enough. I hope the taxpayers in these corrupt towns keep the pressure on as this sort of thing has gone on long enough.
