You drive a U-Haul because you have to. They work great for relatively cheap moving, etc. They are usually older models with a lot of miles on them and, in my experience, not a real treat to drive.

Apparently someone in the Hillsborough and Polk County, Florida areas likes these U-Haul trucks. A lot.

Detectives from both Hillsborough and Polk County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a series of thefts of U-Haul trucks. Since December 6, 2012, there have been numerous U-Haul trucks stolen from Hillsborough and Polk county jurisdictions. Each of the trucks is described as 26 foot box trucks, models ranging from 2006 – 2010.

• 2-13-13 AJ’s Food N Beverages/U-Haul, 9806 Harney Road, Thonotosassa
