Law enforcement officials closed down a lane on Highway 61 Saturday when they pulled over more than 100 bikers near Minnesota City after a reported fight in Minneiska during this spring’s Flood Run.
The Winona County Sheriff’s Department was called at 1:15 p.m. Saturday on a report that several members of the Hells Angels were fighting with several members of the Outlaws, both known motorcycle gangs. The fight reportedly occurred in the parking lots of the Eagle View Bar and Grill and Buck’s Bar and Grill.

| Deputies and a Minnesota State patrol officer stopped a group of over 100 Outlaws shortly afterward headed southbound on Highway 61 near Minnesota City, closing down a lane of traffic while law enforcement officials investigated the complaint. Winona County Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude said that one of the bikers stopped had signs of injury and blood on his face, but refused medical attention and claimed he’d fallen down. In fact, none of the bikers stopped had much to say to police, who were then joined by the Winona and Goodview police departments and Department of Natural Resources officials. Ganrude said that police did not search motorcycles but patted down the bikers “for their safety.” |
