Steven Black, a 22-year-old Florida man was jailed Friday after police found more than $1,500 tied to his scrotum with a shoe lace during an identify theft ring bust.

According to police and secret service agents, Florida residents Steven Black, Tara Funk, Brandon Taylor, Jearvon Jackson and Kevin Robinson were arrested in connection to a nationwide identity theft ring that went down in flames last Monday. Investigators say officers were alerted after a woman, later identified as Tara Funk, attempted to make a withdraw through a Bank Of America teller window in the amount of $1,485 using a bad check and a fake identity. The bank's record system showed the checks to be stolen from a Florida man, as well as his driver's license. Bank employees attempted to delay the final transaction, but funk drove away. Police located the getaway vehicle and attempted to pull Funk over, however she continued to flee until a light pole stepped in to bring the chase to a halt.
