| A second motorcyclist, Thomas Connolly, 39, of Unionville, was treated and released from Hartford Hospital. According to state police reports, both riders were heading west on Route 4 when, just before 4 p.m., Sirois lost control of his motorcycle as he was rounding a sharp curve in the road. Sirois and his bike went down, and Connolly was “unable to take evasive action to avoid colliding” with Sirois, according to the accident report. Both men and their bikes struck the wire rope guardrail resulting in serious injuries, said police. Sirois was taken by helicopter to Hartford Hospital, and Connelly was taken to the same hospital by Canton ambulance. Both men were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. |
