The accident took place about 1 a.m. at the Chevron gas station at the corner of U.S. 1 and Cheney Highway. Titusville police and a store operator said the speeding car jumped the curb, shattered glass and punched a huge hole into the entrance of the building as the driver attempted to flee a traffic stop. The teen was evaluated by paramedics and did not appear to suffer any major injuries, police said. “He was taken to the hospital as a precaution but he was not seriously injured,” said Cpl. Carolina Johnson of the Titusville Police Department. |
